WHAT IS ETC?
We are a concept well before its time.
We have redefined Excellence.
We are not everybody else.
Of course we build physical strength. What sets us apart is our commitment to mental toughness. With proper instruction, preparation and discipline to create and sustain Excellence, our athletes will notice an increase in strength, confidence, and belief.
Would it matter if you could drain every free-throw at a 2:30 practice on a Saturday afternoon if you couldn’t sink the game-winning shot with 3 seconds left on a Friday night in front of 487 people at the state championship game?
Would it matter?
We have yet to find a training program as comprehensive as ours. We have yet to find a sport that doesn’t require both physical and mental prowess.
Athletic training has yet to know Excellence…
UNTIL NOW.
Excellence Training Camps, Inc. (ETC) is an athletic training company based in Chester County, PA. A concept created by the CEO/Founder, Jen Croneberger, MGCP (Mental Game Coaching Professional), ETC, Inc. has quickly become one of the fastest growing philosophies in athletic training in the Eastern Region.
By combining mental and physical training in a holistic approach, ETC aims at creating the ELITE athlete, one that is able to compete at a higher level than ever before. There is a physical limit to the human body, which is why in recent years we have seen such an increase in both pro and amateur athletes engaging in illegal steroid use to find any way to get an “Edge.” There is only so far we can go physically, without engaging in behaviors that will actually harm the body instead of increase its productivity. It’s only when we tap into the potential of the mind that we find our athletic ability to be much more limitless. Mental Toughness is the ability to harness that power and create ELITE levels of play and competition.
The company began in 2004 with one on one softball instruction and small group clinics and has grown into providing Sports Performance Training (Speed, Agility, Quickness, Plyometrics, Injury Prevention, and overall strength) For all sports, Summer Sports Camps (Softball, Basketball, Volleyball and Baseball currently), and F.I.T. –Fitness Interval Training (Sports performance training for adults.) ETC has also launched its Mental Toughness Academy, a program devoted to mental conditioning for athletes. This is the niche we have been able to carve out entirely to ourselves and the biggest reason that ETC, Inc. has gotten the press it has in this past year is due to the difference in approach from all other athletic training facilities. There is no other program that we can find, in all of the research we have done, that gives the opportunities to our clients that we do. The growing customer base prompted ETC to open a facility in May of 2008 in Coatesville, PA.
The holistic approach has gotten ETC, Inc. coverage in local newspapers, has won the award of “Best Gym in the Philly Area” by My Fox Philly’s Hotlist within the first 4 months it was opened. Jen Croneberger was named the 2009 Female Business Leader of the Year by the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry. She was contacted for a 3 minute interview on Philadelphia ABC Channel 6 News to talk about the mental approach the Phillies had to take going into the World Series as well as the Eagles during their playoffs. Jen Croneberger is now known as the area’s leading expert in The Total Mind/Body approach to Elite Athletic Training. The current facility opened its doors in May of 2008.
The Peak Performance Player (P3) program will be launching in the Summer of 2009 for our athletes who want to take their game to the next level. We will then launch the "College Bound" P3 Program for those athletes looking to play at the collegiate level. We have built solid relationships with the right people. The process is a long and sometimes scary one when the athletes and parents don’t know how to start the recruitment process. ETC has also teamed up with the National College Scouting Association to help in making the process an easier on the athletes, parents and coaches. They will be given all of the information needed to make the right decisions regarding the athlete’s career.
